This site is unrepentant in its love for photobooks and its capacity to enable others that are likely (also unrepentantly) afflicted.

My writing about photobooks has much in common with my parallel state as a photobook collector: I only collect what I am drawn to, and here, I only write what I feel like writing about.

The world of art photography is both vast and almost comically familial. There is so much to read, so much to look at, so much to consider all of the time and all simultaneously. While I am as guilty as consuming as much of it as anybody, I want this site to be a pacific respite in an overly congested field—think of it as a quiet alcove niche that you can steel away to at a party where you only want to talk with one other person, safely removed from the maddening crowd.

Photobooks. Just photobooks.
